What is Ghostnote?
Ghostnote is a tool for Artists to document their process. Fans have the ability to follow their favorite Artists, build collections of their works, and support the creative life through the sales and resales of those works.
What is a Ghostnote Artist?
Ghostnote Artists are creators who onboard unique, physical and limited items that pertain to their real-life creative process, expression and talents. These items are known as Creative Works.
How do I become a Ghostnote Artist?
A user can request to become an Artist by getting in touch with Ghostnote Support.
What is an Origin Story?
The Origin Story is attached to the Creative Work and describes how it came to be. It reveals how the Artist transformed their ideas into physical form in a compelling and relatable manner. This includes historical and personal context, the physical process and materials. See our Origin Story guide for more information.
What is the difference between an Origin Story and Feature Descriptions?
An Origin Story gives an overall big picture of the item and its history, while Feature Descriptions seek to describe an item's physical characteristics in more detail. These descriptions should complement the Origin Story, and each should tell tell a story of its own.
What is your shipping policy?
Currently, items will be shipped by Artists through UPS. The shipping charge will be automatically calculated at checkout, and the purchaser will cover the cost.
Can I upload a rare, shrink-wrapped item to Ghostnote?
While shrink-wrapped rarities are cool, a Ghostnote item needs to be customized in some way, so you should remove the shrink-wrap so you can make some changes before doing your origin scan.
Can I change the bank account associated with Ghostnote?
Your bank account information can be changed at any time in the 'Edit profile' area of your account settings. Stripe handles all payment-related activity on Ghostnote, and will direct you through the process of user authentication account switching.
My item arrived damaged.
If an item has arrived in a different condition than what was promised, please use Ghostnote's support page to create a customer support ticket and we will work with you toward a resolution.
What if I can’t receive the one-time password code?
If you haven’t signed up, please create an account with a phone number that can receive text messages. If you have already signed up and are still not receiving the password code, please use Ghostnote's support page to create a customer support ticket and we will work with you toward a resolution.
Can I change the phone number used to sign in to my Ghostnote account?
If you've changed your phone number and no longer have access to your Ghostnote account, you must create a customer support ticket via Ghostnote's support page and we will work with you toward a resolution.
Are items purchased on Ghostnote insured?
Items purchased on or after 1/22/24 are insured with XCover. Ensure that you save ALL packaging materials and have photo documentation available should you need to submit a claim!
Where can I find tracking info for a purchased item?
Both the purchaser of the item and the Artist who created it can find tracking info by visiting their respective dashboards and selecting the item in question.
I sold an item; when do I get paid?
Ghostnote pays out its Artists either once a buyer scan is received or 48 hours from delivery, whichever comes first. Payouts are facilitated by Stripe, and a transfer to your bank will automatically take place 48 hours after Ghostnote issues a payout to you.
I still don't see my payout in my bank account.
If the above conditions have been met and you still don't see a payout in your bank, Ghostnote support staff can provide you with a reference number which will allow the bank to track the transfer. Your bank will be able to help from here.
How do I delete an item from Ghostnote?
From a web browser, locate the item in question in your portfolio (in the Ghostnote dashboard), choose "Edit," and scroll to the bottom of the page - there will be an option to delete the item. From the Ghostnote app, locate the item in your portfolio (in the Ghostnote dashboard), choose "Edit," and tap "Edit" on the Status field. You'll be given an option to delete the item in the dialogue that follows.
Can I participate in Ghostnote if I live outside of the US?
At this time, Artists and buyers must have a US address and bank account to use Ghostnote; moreover, the method of payment must have been issued in the US.
I'm having an issue with my account, and I'm considering deleting it to start over.
Please don't delete your account for this reason, especially if you've purchased a Ghostnote item! This will negatively impact Artists from whom you've purchased, as it removes their item(s) from circulation on Ghostnote. If you're having an issue, please contact support before deleting your account!
I am unable to sign in to my account with my phone number.
This can occur if the login code was entered incorrectly several times in a row. Close the app and wait an hour or so before trying again; if the issue persists, please get in touch with our support staff.
Where is Ghostnote available?
The Ghostnote mobile app can be downloaded from either the App Store or Google Play. You can also browse the website at www.ghostnote.com.
